The Registrar of Wigwe University, Ulonna Inyama, has d!ed under mysterious circumstances in Abuja.
Her family has called for a thorough investigation into the circumstances that led to her d3ath.
Inyama is said to have d!ed on Monday after complications arose following a fibroid surgery and a possible erroneous blood transfusion.
According to a family source, she was admitted to a hospital in Abuja for fibroid treatment but suffered a fatal reaction after receiving the wrong blood type.
“She died from blood loss due to fibroid complications under mysterious circumstances. We were informed that a wrong blood transfusion contributed to her death,” the source told Vanguard.
As her condition deteriorated, Inyama was referred to another hospital, where she ultimately passed away.
Her family is now seeking answers and has demanded an investigation into the events leading to her death.
This tragic incident comes just months after the untimely death of Wigwe University’s founder, Herbert Wigwe, who perished in a helicopter crash in California, along with his wife and son. The university community, still mourning the loss of its founder, is now faced with another devastating tragedy with the loss of its Registrar.
