Stories from the heart

The remains of the late much loved gospel singer, Osinachi Nwachukwu have finally been laid to rest.

The sonorous singer was buried in her hometown, within her father’s compound in Isochi Umunneochi in Abia State.

She died in an intensive care unit of an Abuja hospital on the 8th of June, 2022 from complications suspected at that time to be from the gruesome domestic violence suffered in the hands of her husband, Peter Nwachukwu.

Until her death, Osinachi was a chorister at the headquarters of the Dunamis International Gospel Center in Abuja.

Her twin sister obviously has the same soul-lifting voice as she stunned mourners at her burial.

On her part, the 61-year old mother Caroline Madu and sister, Favor have pleaded with the High Court sitting in Abuja to serve justice on her late daughter’s husband, Peter Nwachukwu following the death of the singer.

Madu was announced as the prosecution’s first witness on Monday 22nd 2022 in the alleged homicide and domestic violence-related case.

According to Caroline, she came to explain what Peter did to her daughter, Osinachi, adding that the last time she saw her daughter was about a year ago.

She maintained that Peter came and stole her daughter, claiming “he was an evangelist.”
