Reno Omokri, former aide of ex-President Goodluck Jonathan has given a shocking reaction to Nollywood actor Yul Edochie confirmation of his polygamous marriage.

The presidential aspirant and Nollywood actor had taken to his social media account to announce that he has a son from his industry colleague, Judy Austin Muoghalu whom he confirmed as his second wife.

According to him, It’s time for the world to meet my son. His name is STAR DIKE MUNACHIMSO YUL-EDOCHIE.

“Born by my second wife @judyaustin1 And I love him so much, just as much as I love my other children.”

Social media users have reacted variously to the development with many condemning Yul for betraying his wife whom he hailed during their last wedding anniversary as a humble, steadfast and faithful wife.

He said that his first wife married him when he was a nobody and did not have any source of income.

In his own reaction, Reno stated that Yul has done nothing wrong, adding that according to biblical standards polygamy is not sinful.

He tweeted: “In my opinion, @YulEdochie has done no wrong.

“Polygamy is not a sin. God Himself gave David many wives-2 Samuel 12:18. Polygamy is only forbidden for Bishops, and elders in the church-1 Timothy 3:2. Monogamy is a Western construct, not a Christian one.”

Of course adultery is a sin-Hebrews 13:4. But Polygamy isn’t a sin. Scripture is clear on that in Exodus 21:10. The same people who say that’s the law will also collect tithes. In Nigeria we celebrate cross dressers. We have no moral right to condemn Yul!https://t.co/rGDfY2Gdc4

Reno added that, “Polygamy is Scriptural-Exodus 21:10. It is hard for a single woman to satisfy the libido of a normal man. It is why we have a high rate of cheating in our society. Compare the rate of adultery in Europe and America, with that of Saudi Arabia and point becomes clear

“Sadly, Black Africans accept this Western construct called monogamy, as a Christian one. Which is why we are now tolerant of same sex marriage, and intolerant of polygamy. Meanwhile, God supports polygamy-2 Samuel 12:8, and gay marriage is abominable in His sight-Leviticus 18:22.
