Former aide to Ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri, has been dragged online after videos of him endorsing the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, resurfaced online.
Omokri had, in the 2 videos extolled the former Anambra State Governor saying he is the best President Nigeria could ever have especially as he raised the bar of leadership in the country.
He said that that as president, Obi would turn Nigeria into Dubai within a few years because he is a fantastic man.
Omokri reminded viewers about how Obi pulled Anambra State out of poverty and rescued it from being one of the most educationally backward states.
he added that “in less than 2 years, he brought them to be number 1, he left that state with a reserve. We need people like this, I’m so proud of ex-Governor Obi. I’m so proud of him.
“I listened to him today and I was touched… do we have fellows like this in Nigeria ? He made money for himself in the private sector, he made money for Anambra State. Anambra doesn’t borrow money. These bailout funds that the current Administration is giving states, Anambra State doesn’t take it.”
Omokri revealed that since Obi left office, the former governor does not draw any benefit from the state.
However, soon after being contracted as member of the presidential campaign council for Atiku Abubakar, the PDP presidential flag bearer, Reno Omokri did a volte-face and began attacking Peter Obi with the direct opposite of the narratives he sold to Nigerians.
The videos:
The old videos sparked outrage as many Nigerians bashed Omokri, describing him as a man without integrity.
