Florence Otedola, better known as DJ Cuppy, daughter of Nigeria’s billionaire Femi Otedola has got a job with BBC as a radio presenter.
Last December, BBC revealed that DJ Cuppy will join 1xtra to host the station’s brand-ne weekend Breakfast Show on Sunday.
Announcing the appointment, BBC Radio 1, 1Xtra & Asian Network Press Office@BBCRadio1PR said, “And, congratulations to Cuppy who will join 1Xtra to host the station’s brand-new Weekend Breakfast Show on Sundays (7am – 11am) from Sunday 9 January 2022! Congratulations @cuppymusic and welcome to the 1Xtra family.”
Cuppy’s colleagues at the radio station are excited to have her on board.
Faron McKenzie, Head of BBC Radio 1Xtra, said that:
1Xtra will also welcome Cuppy to the station who will be the new host of 1Xtra’s brand-new Weekend Breakfast Show on Sundays (7am – 11am). Cuppy is a world renowned Nigerian DJ and producer who has performed at some of the biggest international festivals and events and has also most recently appeared in the docu-ality series Highlife. Her first show will be on Sunday 30 January 2022.
