Terry Waya, father of BBNaija Lockdown sensation, Kiddwaya says that rich people’s children hardly become rich on their own.

Terry made the assertion while speaking with Dele Momodu in a recent interview.

According to him, children of rich parents very often make little or no effort to build wealth like their parents. Rather, wealth is passed on to them by their rich parents.

The older Waya added that it is indeed easier for children of the poor to rise to the top in Nigeria than the son of rich men.

In his words during the interview, “Everybody has his own luck and way. At the time when I used to work with the generals in Nigeria, Mike Adenuga and I used to be on the same level but, today, Mike is 1 billion times richer than I am.

“Most of the wealthy people in Nigeria are of the first generation, it is not as if anybody left money for them. We are all in the same age group.

“Everybody decided what they wanted to do. Some went into politics and business.

“Nigeria is not a place that you can tell somebody about the formula to get money. Just be at the right place at the time. Anybody can be anything in Nigeria.

“One thing I tell my children is that children of successful and rich people in Nigeria hardly become successful and rich on their own. Most of these rich people usually pass on the wealth to their children.

“In Nigeria, it is easy for the son of a poor person to rise to the top the the son of a rich man.”
