Russia has threatened to deal with the United States if it meddles in it’s war with Ukraine.
The Russian government in a statement on Thursday warned that it has the might to put the US, other countries in their places.
The raging war between Russia and Ukraine has received attention from world leaders and despite interventions, the two European countries are yet to come to amicable terms to resolve the issues that caused the war.
Since Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, the US and its European and Asian allies have slammed sanctions on President Vladimir Putin’s government, companies and businessmen, cutting off Russia from much of the world economy.
On Thursday, the Deputy Secretary of Russia’s Security Council, Dmitry Medvedev, accused the West of stoking a wild Russophobic plot to tear Russia apart.
Medvedev said the US had stoked “disgusting” Russophobia in an attempt to force Russia to its knees.
He vowed that “it will not work, Russia has the might to put all of our brash enemies in their place,” Medvedev said.
President Putin said what he calls the special military operation in Ukraine was necessary because the United States was using Ukraine to threaten Russia and it had no option but defend itself against the “genocide” of Russian-speaking people by Ukraine.
On its part, Ukraine says it is fighting for its existence and that Putin’s claims of genocide are nonsense.
The West had also said claims that it wants to rip Russia apart are baseless.
