Russia Covid19 Vaccine Successful at Phase 1

Reports from Moscow, Russia says 2 of the country’s medical research centres have completed the first phase of covid19 candidate vaccine trials on Wednesday.

2 groups of 18 volunteers were reported discharged form hospitals. The volunteers had taken part in 28-day trials in the 1st Moscow State Medical University and the Main Military Clinical Burnkendo Hospital.

Officials of the 2 medical establishments told reporters in Moscow that before before being released, the volunteers underwent medical check ups. They also passed a blood test to study the development of an immune response to the novel covid19.

Preliminary findings confirm that the Russia vaccines are well tolerated and safe. During the trials, there were no complications or adverse effects neither was any adverse reactions observed.

The volunteers are expected to return the hospital by th 42 day after the vaccination to undergo final diagnosis and medical examination.

In a second development, Olga Dorokhova, secretary of the Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology says that scientists of the institute based in the Russian city of Novosibirsk are reported to have also developed antibodies that neutralise the virus.

It is expected that scientists will use the study of the vaccine to create means of therapy and prevention of the #COVID19 disease.

The study of the Russia vaccine will, in addition study the immune response to the disease and will come in handy when improving vaccines.
