The embattled Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Abba Kyari has threatened to expose the police force if they do not save him from the ongoing embarrassment.
He is also reported to be gathering a team of lawyers to stop his arrest and extradition to the United States following his indictment by internet fraudster, Abbas Ramon also known as Hushpuppi.
SaharaRepoters reports that Kyari has threatened to expose top police officers who have benefited from his ‘generosity’ should he be handed over to the FBI and extradited.

One of the sources is quoted by SaharaReporters as saying that, “There was a stormy meeting on Friday at the Inspector General of Police’s (IGP) office between the IGP and Police authorities and the FBI agents. Kyari on his parts threatening that many senior officers benefited from his ‘generosity’ and if he is betrayed, he would expose them.
“He’s now got a team of lawyers. Abba Kyari is being assured by the police hierarchy that he would be extradited to the US. He has warned that if he is extradited, the current and past IGPs and members of the political elites he provided support for and assisted for dirt jobs will all be exposed,” the source said.
US court documents reports Hushpuppi as claiming he bribed one of Nigeria’s brightest cops, Abba Kyari.
The notorious fraudster had pleaded guilty to conspiracy to engage in money laundering and faces up to 20 years in a US prison.
Hushpuppi will be sentenced in a matter of weeks and will be forced to forfeit some of his assets and rights to appeal while also paying restitution to victims of his many years of internet fraud.
US court officials said that in the court filings, Hushpuppi disclosed during interrogation Tht he pad bribes to Abba Kyari, a Deputy Commissioner of police, to arrest and jail an unfaithful ally over the sharing formula for a $1.1 million scam of a Qatari businessman.
Following the allegation, Court documents disclosed that Otis Wright of the United States District Court for the Central District of California ordered the FBI to arrest Kyari and produce him in the United States for his role in a multi-million dollar fraud.
The Nigerian Police on Thursday evening said it would carry out an internal review of the allegations against Kyari.
