Secondary School Students Block Gate, Protest Lack of Basic Amenities, Actress Reacts

Veteran Nollywood actress, Shan George has reacted after some students of Salihu Dogo secondary school in Taraba state blocked their school gate while staging a protest over the lack of learning materials in the school.

The students accused the school management of corruption leading to untold hardship especially difficulty in learning.

The rampaging students therefore, staged a protest within and around the school premises blocking the gate against the principal on Wednesday.

In a viral video shared online, one of the students was captured lamenting about the state of their classrooms and laboratory.

They complained that their teachers never conduct practical tests because there are no equipments.

Reports say the school has a population of about 1,000 students with N4,800 paid as school fees per term. N500 out of the N4,800 is earmarked as furniture fees, while another N500 is feeding fees.

Reacting to the development, the veteran actress opined that the management might have used the money to send their own children abroad.

She wrote; ”Dem don use d money send their own children abroad. What am I even saying”
