Senator Nelson Effiong has finally regained freedom, 54 days after his abduction.
The former Senator represented Akwa Ibom South Senatorial District in Akwa Ibom State was abducted in Uyo on the 5th of September.
He was released on Friday the 29th of October, as confirmed to newsmen by the Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, Nkereuwem Enyongekere.
According to the APC PRO, “The All Progressives Congress, Akwa Ibom State Chapter wishes to intimate the APC family and the general public of the release of Senator Nelson Effiong who was kidnapped on Sunday of September 5, 2021.
“The Senator gained freedom just yesterday (Friday, October 29, 2021) from the enclave of the men of the underworld.
“It is our deepest concern as a party to register our sincere gratitude to God Almighty and all who contributed in one way or the other to facilitated his release and return to his family and party.
“We humbly pray God to accord you all the commensurable blessings you deserve for identifying with us throughout the period os his predicament.”
