Mrs. Ramot, the mother of Hamidat Abdulrafiu, who has been missing since visiting a customer, has lamented that the daughter is no longer responding to messages.
She said that all attempts to reach Hamidat by phone failed, and there has been no information about her whereabouts or any incidents involving her.
According to a report by The Punch News, Hamidat Abdulrafiu is a businesswoman who sells unisex clothes and often travels to Lokoja to meet with customers and collect payments for credit purchases.
The heartbroken mother said that Hamidat informed her of her arrival in Lokoja. On the morning of the 19th, when Mrs. Ramot messaged her daughter and received no reply, she became worried. Hamidat’s phone remained unreachable throughout that day and continues to be so.
In her own words, she said that, “Hamidat is a businesswoman who sells unisex clothes, and she normally travels to Lokoja to go and meet her customers and collect money for goods they might buy in credit. When she got to Lokoja, she told me that she was there.
“And it was later in the morning on the 19th when I started chatting with her, and there was no response. I sensed trouble. I dialed her number, and it was not reachable throughout that day up until now.”
