Human rights activist and former Senator representing Kaduna Central, Shehu Sani has reacted to a statement by the national leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu that Nigerian youths can only be president after him.

The APC presidential aspirant said this when he visited the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III on Sunday.

Tinubu joked that the youths should wait for him to finish his own tenure as president of Nigeria before aspiring to the position.

He however, prayed that the youths attain great positions in life including become Nigeria’s president.

According to him, “You will become president…but after me.” His comment however, got an applause from those present.

Reacting to the statement, Sani on Monday via the micro-blogging site of Twitter said by the time the youths are done waiting for Tinubu to become President and complete his tenure, they too would have become elders.
