Nigeria’s gospel music artist, Osinachi Kanu Joseph popularly known as Sinach has joined the list of Africa’s 2020 100 Most Influential Women.
Sinach is making the list in the entertainment category for the first time.
The program is organised by Ghana based Avance Media and has notable music artistes like Angelique Kidjo, Yemi Alade and Oumou Sangare in the list.
The program features an annual compilation of artistes assembled through public nomination. This year comprises women from 34 countries who are considered positive role models to the younger generation and leaders in their various genres.
Nigeria topped the 2020 list with a representation of 20 women followed by South Africa, 11 and Ghana, 9 to make the top 3.
The managing Director of Avance Media, Prince Akpah said the achievement of the women informed their selection for list of Africa’s 100 Most Influential Women.
Akpah added that they deserve high recommendations among other female trailblazers in Africa.
In another development, Sinach was also named among the top 100 Most Reputable Persons on Earth by Reputable Poll in 2019.
In appreciation of the recognitions, Sinach said that she is “always grateful to Jesus for all He’s been doing in our lives.
“A lot has happened this year but in all we still standing.
“I thank everyone that contributed to this and especially our fans and followers. You made this happen. Thank you for inspiring us,” she added.
