The Principal of Salihu Tanko Islamiyya School in Tegina Niger State says that 6 of the abducted toddlers have died in captivity.
200 pupils were abducted in their school on the 30th of May in broad daylight by bandits.
The principal, Abubakar Alhassan said that the terrorists called to inform him that the 6 toddlers died from various illnesses while many are suffering from malnourishment.
The principal added that the terrorists initially demanded the sum of N110 million as ransom but later increased it to N200 million.
He said that the criminals emphasised that the ransom must be paid in full before setting their captives free.
Alhassan added the parents of the abducted toddlers had earlier paid N30 million but the children have still not been released.
