‘Some People Dey Find Something to Chop’ – Gov Wike Mocks FFK (video)

It’s not everybody that “way dey talk you go take im talk. Some people dey talk make them find hem something to chop.”

That was the opening remark of the Governor of Rivers State when asked his opinion about Femi Fani-Kayode (FFK’s) defection to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

The former PDP Chieftain, (FFK), 2 weeks ago retuned to the ruling APC which he dumped some years back to join the then ruling PDP.

He was led to President Muhammadu Buhari by the Caretaker Chairman of APC, Gov Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State, and was warmly received by the president at the Aso Rock Villa in Abuja.

A delegation of the APC later visited the former Minister of Aviation under the PDP a few days ago to inform him that he will be formally welcome and registered as a card carrying member of the party next week.

During the visit, FFK informed the delegation that he is ready and available to take on any role given to him by the party.

In the course of his interview with BBC News Pidgin on Friday, Wike stated that Fani-Kayode has no integrity or ideology. He insisted that he is not friends with the former Minister.

He mocked the former PDP member of defecting to the APC just to “find something to chop.” He added that FFK has no agenda other than how to enrich himself.

According to Governor Nyesom Wike, “I don’t know why people are shocked by Fani Kayode’s defection. People make the mistake of taking vocal everybody serious. 

“Some people talk just for people to find them something to eat, some people talk because of the problems they have, so that they can be saved — if they will be saved.

“Me and Femi Fani-Kayode are not friends. I don’t like something that is too artificial.

“Stomach politics is not good. Nothing beats integrity.”
