Governors from the Southern part of Nigeria have given a deadline for the promulgation of the anti-open grazing law by member states.
The set date is the 21st of September, 2021. The deadline was made known in a communique at the end of their meeting in Lagos on Monday, 5th of July.
The communique also states that the governors rejected the 3% clause inserted in the Petroleum Industry Bill (PIB) recently passed by the National Assembly.
The state chiefs executive unanimously agreed that their permanent secretariat will be in Lagos.
