Former presidential candidate, human rights activist, and publisher of SaharaReporters, Omoyele Sowore has published pictures of the scene of his younger brother’s death and bullet-riddled car.
Omoyele had, earlier in the day, announced that his brother, Olajide was shot dead while coming back from Igbinedion University, Okada, Edo State where he was studying Pharmacy.
He described his younger brother as a selfless person who took the blame for his siblings’ pranks. He said regardless of his nearly 50 years of age, Olajide enrolled to read Pharmacy in school.
He regretted that he was assassinated by everything that was not right along the Ore-Benin Highway.
In a post that Sowore shared on Facebook, the bullet-riddled Toyota Corolla driven by Olajide had bullet holes on the body and windscreen with one hole suggesing that he may have been hit on the head.
Obviously very bereaved, he posted that, “There are some dayltimes darker than the night.”
Sowore’s post: “Pictures showing bullet-riddled vehicle driven by my little brother, Jide Sowore, where her was murdered on Ore-Benin highway this morning on his way to Benin City from school where he was studying Pharmacy at Igbinedion University, Okada.”
