Striking Workers Chase FIRS Officials Out of Offices with Canes (photos)

Members of the Organized Labour, on Monday shut down the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) in Lagos, while enforcing the nationwide strike called by the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC and Trade Union Congress, TCU.

The strike was embarked on over the labour unions’ new minimum wage proposal and rejection by the federal government.

The NLC and TUC commenced thr nationwide industrial action on Monday in protest against the N60,000 minimum wage proposal of the Federal Government.

In the photos which emerged online, members of the labour union were captured with canes chasing FIRS staff out of the Agidingbi, Ikeja, office.
