Umar Damagum, the acting National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has reacted to the Supreme Court ruling that affirmed the victory of President Bola Tinubu.
On Thursday, in its ruling apex court struck out the petitions filed by the presidential candidate of the PDP, Atiku Abubakar, and his Labour Party (LP) counterpart, Peter Obi.
While speaking on the court ruling on Monday, Damagum said the battle for the emancipation of the country has begun.
The PDP Chairman stated this while addressing stakeholders of the party at a world press conference organized for Atiku.
Damagum said, “We may be disappointed, but we are not deterred because we know what happened underground. People are not jubilating because of the situation we have found ourselves in the country.”
He called on newsmen to report the right thing that will be said by the former Vice president, adding, “We want Nigerians to know our position. The battle will start from Today. We are resolute. All PDP members should not be deterred.”
The former Vice President has also addressed Nigerians and foreign communities on the outcome of the Supreme Court ruling.
