There appears to be a growing leadership tussle in the Synagogue Church of All Nations since the founder’s wife, Evelyn Joshua assumed caretaker role. This is sequel to the death of her husband.
Sources say the late TB Joshua’s wife evicted some of his close disciples to enable her assume hitch free leadership of the church.
SCOAN has remained shut since the burial of the founder.
A source told Daily Post that, “These disciples asked to leave were those who disrespected Evelyn while her husband was alive.
“They sidelined her. It is a powerful leadership tussle.”
Insider sources say that Evelyn has been appointed into the powerful board of trustees of SCOAN in line with the church’s constitution which prescribes a minimum of three trustees for the church.
In a judgment delivered on Thursday, Justice Tijani Ringim of the Federal High Court, Lagos Judicial Division holding at Ikoyi justified her appointment.
The verdict was delivered in a petition brought by concerned and committed members of the church represented by Kola Kareem and Mrs Moji Oguntoyinbo against Incorporated Trustees of Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN); the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) and Mrs Evelyn Onyisi Joshua in suit No: FHC/L/CP/1109/2021
The petitioners were represented by Emeka Ekweozor Esq; Chris Ese Esq and E G Onyejekwululm. Ossazu Owie represented 1st and 2nd respondents while O N Chukwu appeared for the CAC.
Prophet T B Joshua died on the 5th of June after a church service and was buried within the church premises in Lagos a few weeks after.
