The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye has likened his son, late Pastor Dare to a champion even as he is laid to rest today.
He urged church members not to cry but to produce a seed sew like his son.
According to Pastor Adeboye, “We have lost a champion, you will agree with me on that, but then,
However, speaking this morning, Adeboye said: “ We have lost a champion, you will agree with me on that, but then let us consider him a seed that we have sown, and let’s get ready for a very, very special harvest.”
He added that, “The bible says, the reason God sowed the Lord Jesus Christ as a seed is so that he can become the first born of many brethren.
“I want us to join forces together and produce many champions like Damilare, let’s produce thousands of Pastor D, that would go round the whole world and shake the world for the Lord Jesus Christ.
“As a matter of fact, that’s how we can easily honour him and honour his memory. Cry if you wish to, but don’t cry for Pastor D because he is resting in glory. Cry because you are the one still fighting the battle but then fight courageously because on the resurrection morning, we shall meet again.”
Pastor Adeboye thanked everyone for their show of love adding that members of the public should keep the prayers coming.
Dare was buried in the presence of friends, family and church members after a farewell service at the Youth Centre, Redemption Camp, along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
Present at the service were immediate family members including Leke Adeboye and other siblings; Bishop David Oyedepo, the Presiding Bishop of Living Faith Church Worldwide (Winners Chapel); His wife, Faith and his son, Pastor David Oyedepo Jr.
42-year-old Dare Adeboye died in his sleep on Wednesday last week in Eket, Akwa Ibom State. He was the Assistant Pastor in charge of Region 35 (Youth wing).
He is survived by wife and three daughters.
