It was tears and grief today as veteran actor and broadcaster, Sadiq Daba is buried today.
He was laid to rest in Lagos in line Muslim injections, less than 24 hours after he died.
He gave up the ghost at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) where he was undergoing treatment on Wednesday.
Daba was buried at the Hausa Community Cemetery located within the Agage area of Lagos States with fans, family and the Hausa community in tears and grief.
On hand to wish him farewell at the burial were his children, family relatives and well-wishers
Sadiq Daba has had a long battle with leukaemia and prostrate cancer.
His health condition was made public when he sought financial help in 2019 for his medical treatment and upkeep.
Many fans and well-wishers assisted until reports said that billionaire business man, Femi Otedola took up his medical treatment.
Aged 69, Daba had a memorable acting career while also breaking records in broadcasting with multiple awards and recognitions.
He won the ‘Best Actor category at the Africa Movie Academy Award (AMAA) for his role as Inspector Waziri in the 2014 movie, ‘October1.’
He was also famous for acting in ‘Cock Crow At Dawn,’ a popular soap opera in the 1970.
His last major acting role was as Professor Yahaya in Kunle Afolayan’s ‘Citation.’
Sadiq Daba will be missed in Nigeria’s entertainment industry.
