Davido’s message about the condition of his son, Ifeanyi, gives a ray of hope for lovers of his family.
News broke just before midnight on Monday that Davido’s first son, Ifeanyi Adeleke died.
The information was first leaked on Twitter by a very close friend of the family, Eniola Badmus.
While the Twitter and all social media platforms were abuzz with the tragic news broken by Eniola, she deleted the tweet.
A close look at her post shows she didn’t mention Ifeanyi or anyone in particular.
Eniola’s post:
Linda Ikeji, a blogger and Davido’s co-resident in Banana Island confirmed the news. However, many close friends are left in the dark, hoping, wishing, praying that it is not true.
Another close friend of Davido, Daddy Freeze wore a mournful look on his Instagram live session but could not confirm the news.
Many fans hope and pray the little boy is alive.
Ifeanyi is said to have been left in the hands of minders, nannies, body guards and a few relatives by his parents, Chioma and Davido who travelled to Ibadan for a social function.
There are speculations that it was an organised tragic demise for the toddler as many consider it impossible that none of the many domestic servants spotted him slip into the pool; his movement was not captured on CCTV, neither did any of the domestic helps see him splattering for survival in the pool.
Unconfirmed reports add that the domestic workers on duty have been arrested and are helping police with investigations.
The PUNCH newspaper is also not sure but prays the news is fake. Nothing has been heard from Channels TV or TVC, the 2 news channels expected to have corroborated the sad news.
A post by Davido at 12:55am Tuesday, gives a ray of hope. Davido while responding to someone who checked in on him stated that the doctors say that Ifeanyi will be fine in a few hours.
While the rumours continue to fly around, Ifeanyi’s parents, who are said to be inconsolable are reportedly moved to Davido’s father’s house.
Hettysmedia waits eagerly for an official pronouncement from the Adeleke family.
We however, hope and pray that the news of the toddler’s death is fake.
While hoping and praying that Ifeanyi is alive, please sandfill your family swimming pools especially if you have little children.
First D’Banj and hopefully not Davido. Save the children.
