Stories from the heart

An Akwa Ibom-based pretty skincare therapist, Precious Peters, today, got her friends and followers worried after she left suicide notes and videos on her Facebook page.

In a series of notes posted on her Facebook page earlier in the day, Precious with obvious bitter smiles stated that death is peaceful and the world is not for her.

In her words, “Very very soon. The testimony you expected will be a tribute to me from the mouths of those who truly cared. I came to this world, I sojourned but this world is actually not my place. I have beautified myself with pain and glory in tears, but soon, I will only watch the world from a distance. I will only read from shadows…the tributes you will write to me. Death is peaceful, don’t be deceived..

In one of the videos she posted on her Facebook story, Precious asked for prayers so her soul will rest in peace.

In another post dated three day ago, she hinted at battling with depression.

“Once I conquer this phase of depression, trust me, an alien is created.” she wrote.

Another one of her numerous posts:

Frightened, Friends and followings made frantic efforts to reach her but to no avail.

Ivan-Whyte Eagle Lawson posted:

Let it be on record on this 16th day of August, 2022 that Precious Peters cried for help on a suicide note on Facebook and all the people that could establish contact with her did nothing beyond trending it on Facebook and singing ‘it is well’.

I have placed endless calls to Precious.

Her number isn’t reachable.

“I have called and texted her on WhatsApp and messenger. No response.

I have commented on Mmaobong Kingsley ‘s wall, sent her a friend request and DM’ed her.

The lady doesn’t seem too interested in checking notifications or opening message requests.

“I‘m tired.

How do you post such scary information online and make yourself unavailable to answer questions?

Was the purpose just to get your post trending on blogs?

I don’t understand.

What use is dragging and insulting the parties responsible for her suicidal state?

Will that salvage the situation?

I can’t even get a grasp of what is really happening and the amount of money involved so I can crowd fund this lady.

No body to get useful information from and no way Precious’ account details can be obtained.

I see N300,000 written.

“Is N300,000 more important than this lady’s life?

I’m putting this out here publicly because for over 1 hour I have been trying to contact Precious and her contacts– all to no avail.

Everybody just wants to share her suicide post and say ‘It is well’.

And this beautiful lady is hypertensive.

I rest my case.

Gladly, Da Whoknows Monday soon posted that he was able to reach her early enough and she is fine now.
