Veteran Nollywood actress, Kate Henshaw, has reacted to the trend of Nigerian politicians ‘rubbing their children’s graduation in the faces of the common man on social media regardless of the protracted industrial strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).
Kate’s post comes after the wife of the President, Aisha Buhari, took to social media to celebrate the graduation of her daughter-in-law from a UK university.
In a post shared on her Twitter page, Kate wondered if universities in the country would be shut down, even for a day, if children of political leaders were schooling in Nigeria.
According to the actress, politicians rub the situation on the faces of citizens that they do not care, while they celebrate the graduation of their children schooling abroad.
Kate Henshaw added that citizens should ensure they vote wisely in the 2023 elections.
She wrote: “If their children were schooling here, do you think the Universities will be shut for even one day??
“Instead, they rub it in your faces that they don’t care while they celebrate with glee the graduation of their children in the abroad. VOTE WISELY!!.”
