It was a tell-it-all session as usual today when the first female winner of Big Brother Naija, Mercy Eke sat with media mogul, Chude Jideonwo to reveal among many things, how people wanted her mother to abort her.

The serial brand ambassador landed Chude‘s set in a manner he described “like a bulldozer.”

The beautiful Igbo girl did not miss another chance to lament about how Nigerians complain about her thick Igbo accent.

She said they pressured her to adopt an American or British once but it was impossible because she was born, bred and school in Owerri, the heartland of Igbo language.

Mercy added that she was so hounded by fans, blogs and critics that she once contemplated dying, if only for 4 days.

Summarising their chat, Chude said: “We talked about all of the drama – how bloggers followed her home for her father’s burial in order to embarrass her, why she thinks Phyna should ignore everyone, how and why she built a friendship with Tacha and lost her friendship with IK (!), why she thinks it’s madness to ridicule her beautiful Igbo accent, and why she had to do that teary video after a blog alleged a relation with IVD, the husband of her tragically late friend.

“But, underneath all that, how did the girl whose mother wanted to abort because she was being ridiculed become the apple of her family’s eyes? What is it about that past that makes success such an overwhelming necessity for her? And having achieved considerable success, why did she tell me she wishes she could die for 4 days?
