Three Nigerian Universities, UI, Unilag, LASU, have made it to the top 800 in the World.
This is the result of latest ranking of universities in the world as released by the Times Higher Education World University Ranking.
The latest report follows a report released today, 10th of March, 2021. All three universities are also listed as top three in Nigeria.
The latest ranking released, today, Wednesday, 10th March, is the 2021 ranking of universities across the world.
Country ranking places University of Ibadan (UI), Lagos State University (LASU), and the University of Lagos as first, second and third respectively.
Global Ranking: UI, 401-500 bracket; LASU, 501-600 bracket and UNILAG, 601-800 bracket.
Covenant University, Ota, Ogun State ranked four in Nigeria while the University of Nigeria Nsukka and Obafemi Awolowo University came fifth and sixth.
Globally, Covenant University ranked among the 801-100th band while the University of Nigeria, Nsukka and Obafemi Awolowo University appeared in the 1001+ bracket.
The 2021 Times Higher Education World University Rankings studied the performance of more than 1,500 universities from 93 countries and regions.
The criteria comprises 13 carefully calibrated performance indicators that measure tertiary institutions’ performances across four areas of teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook.
