There out of none Nigerian/Americans have won legislative seats in the US legislature.
They include: Oye Owolewa, Esther Agbaje and most recently, Nnamdi Chukwuocha.
Election results for Owolewa and Agbaje were announced yesterday, 4th of November while Chuwuocha’s was made public today.
All three made it to the House of Representatives.

Esther Agbaje:
35-year-old Agabje contested to represent District 59B in the Minnesota House of Representatives on the platform of the Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party.
The Law graduate from Hard University with a Masters degree from the University of Pennsylvania, polled a whooping 74.6% or 17,396 of the total votes cast.
Agbaje had served in the US Department of State among other government and corporate positions.
Oye Owolewa:
Oye Owolewa contested to represent the District of Columbia on the platform of the Democratic Party.
He won with an amazing 82.65% of votes being 135,234 of total votes cast.
The PhD Pharmacy degree holder from the Northeastern University, Boston was born in Omo-Aran Local Government Area of War State.
Nnamdi Chukwuocha:
The latest result announced for a Nigerian/American is Nnamdi Chukwuocha who has been elected to repress District 1 of of Delaware.
He was first previously elected in 2018 to represent the same constituency after defeating the incumbent Charles Potter Jr at the Democratic Party primary.
Chukwuocha is a poet laureate with his twin brother, Al Mills.
While the Nigerian/American community in the US celebrate the three wins out of nine, it is hoped that more victory will be recorded.
The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission has congratulated all three winners:
