Thugs are alleged to have destroyed shops of Igbo traders in Osogbo after Ademola Adeleke was declared winner of the Osun State Gubernatorial election on Sunday.
The hoodlums are said to have gone on the rampage after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) announced the former Lawmaker’s victory.
Adeleke defeated the incumbent governor of Osun state and governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Gboyega Oyetola and 13 other candidates in the July 16th election.
Adeleke won 17 local government areas in the state, while the candidate of the APC, Oyetola won the remaining 13 local government areas in the state.
Hours after the declaration, shops located in Osogbo belonging to Igbo traders were allegedly destroyed because they voted Adeleke Into power in the state, according to the narrator.
The narrator further questioned if Igbos do not have the right to participate in elections due to the violence meted at them.
He, however, maintained that they were not partisan.
