The new terms, signed on December 14, 2024, offer top military officers, such as the Chief of Defence Staff and Service Chiefs, a bulletproof SUV and a backup vehicle, both replaced every four years.

They are also entitled to five domestic staff, medical care, and residential guards. Senior officers, including Lieutenant Generals, will receive foreign medical care, while Major Generals and Brigadier Generals will get Toyota Land Cruisers, domestic staff, and medical benefits.

The enhanced benefits reflect the government’s acknowledgment of the changing socio-economic landscape and the need to support retired generals and their families.
