Senator Kofoworola Bucknor-Akerele has revealed why she resigned as Bola Tinubu’s deputy when the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate was the Governor of Lagos State.

According to her, she resigned from her appointment over irreconcilable differences with Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The former Senator added that the APC flagbearer fought her with charms.

Senator Bucknor-Akerele was Deputy to the APC Presidential candidate from May 1999 till November 2003.

Throwing more light into their working relationship, she said in a recent interview with Alaroye magazine, the former deputy governor alleged that his former principal terrorized her while they worked together.

Bucknor-Akerele also alleged that Tinubu has different behaviours and fought her with charm, stressing that her mother told her to quit her position.

She said: “He has different behaviours. In fact (he fought me) with charms and all.

“So later, Awishe Savage called me and advised me to resign.

“My mother also called me and reminded me that I am her only child, and she is aged. She asked me to resign.

Bucknor-Akeredele said she fell out with Tinubu when she went against an attempt by the APC flagbearer to take over the Alliance for Democracy (AD).
