Tinubu Makes 8 New Appointments, Familiar Names Resurface

President Bola Tinubu has appointed 8 new advisers to assist his administration effectively settle in and get running.

A statement released by the State House Director of Information, Mr Abiodun Oladunjoye reveals some recycled names from previous administrations at the national and Lagos State levels.

In the recent appointments, the media team of the President will be headed by Mr Dele Alake, who has been made Special Adviser to the President on Special Duties, Communication and Strategy.

Other appointments include:

  • Wale Edun, Special Adviser, Monetary Policies
  • Yau Darazo Special Adviser, Political and Intergovernmental Affairs
  • Mrs. Olu Verheijen Special Adviser, Energy
  • Zachaeus Adedeji, Special Adviser, Revenue
  • Nuhu Ribadu, Special Adviser, Security
  • John Ugochukwu Uwajumogu, Special Adviser, Industry, Trade and Investment
  • Dr (Mrs.) Salma Ibrahim Anas, Special Adviser, Health.

President Tinubu previously sent a request for the appointment of 20 Advisers to the National Assembly.

All appointments were swiftly approved by the National Assembly.
