The All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential flag bearer, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his running mate, Kashim Shettima were today, present at the inauguration of the Women Presidential Team of the party ahead of the 2023 general elections.
The event is holding at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
President Muhammadu Buhari who is absent at the event is represented by his Chief of Staff, Ibrahim Gambari.
President Buhari is currently in Chad, attending the investiture ceremony of Mahamat Idriss Deby Itno as President of the Transitional Team in the Republic of Chad for two years.
The presidential candidate of the APC, Bola Tinubu accompanied by his running mate, Kashim Shettima, also had in attendance, the National Chairman of the party, Abdullahi Adamu, the first lady, Aisha Buhari, Remi Tinubu and Nana Shettima.
The wife of the Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Dolapo was conspicuously absent.

Others are the Chairman of the Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), Governor Simon Lalong; Governors, Hope Uzodinma (Imo); Abdullahi Ganduje; Women Leader of the APC, Beta Edu; other leaders of the party; National Assembly members and others.
Also in attendance was veteran actress Joke Silva whom a fan commended for not giving in to online pressures to dump the party.
Tinubu in his statement accused the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of failing to restore the power for industrialisation in their 16 years of ruling.
According to the former Governor of Lagos State, his candidature as President would end banditry and poverty and restore hope, peace, and security.
