All Progressive Congress, APC, chieftain, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reacted to 2023 presidential ambition of vice president Yemi Osinbajo.Osinbajo had announced his interest in the 2023 president election in a video shared on his socialmedia handles.
Reacting to the development, the former Lagos governor explained that he does not have “no son grown enough to declare.”
Tinubu said this after a meeting with Governors elected on the platform of the APC.
He explained that discussions during the meeting was centred around his ambition to lead the country from 2023.
According to him, “My mission is to seek the collaboration, encouragement and support of my party, the APC, for my ambition and mission to become the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”
When asked to react to his ‘son’ declaration, he replied “I have no son grown enough to declare”.
During the 2015 presidential election, Tinubu sought to run as running mate to President Buhari but was asked to nominate a Christian to avoid a Muslim/Muslim ticket.
The APC national then selected Osinbajo, his former Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice to take his place.
