Former Governor of Lagos State and National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has dismissed rumours of ill-health in a a video posted online today.
Th APC leader has been hosting Nigerian leaders, prominent individuals and groups and political office holders in his London, United Kingdom home.
The notable politician has been out of the country for some months due to ill-health, an allegation himself and his political allies have dispelled.
Tinubu insists in the video that he is in good health but undergoing physiotherapy.
While addressing some members of the house of representatives who paid him a courtesy visit, he said that, “I am well. It’s just the physio that is gruesome.”
There have been speculations that the former Lagos State Governor might be vying for the office of President in the forthcoming general elections under the APC.
Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is expected back in the country soon ahead of the 2023 presidential elections.
He is said to have received the endorsement of some politicians as a preferred successor to President Muhammadu Buhari come 2023.
