President Bola Tinubu has approved the suspension of Ahmad Salihijo Ahmad, the Managing Director/CEO of the Rural Electrification Agency (REA) and 3 Executive Directors of the agency.
The suspension takes immediate effect is said to be connected to fraudulent activities.
The President Tinubu also directed a thorough investigation into the actions of the four top government officials who are suspected of engaging in fraudulent spending totaling more than N1.2 billion in the last two years.
The three Executive Directors of the Agency:
(1) Olaniyi Alaba Netufo — Executive Director, Corporate Services
(2) Barka Sajou — Executive Director, Technical Services
(3) Sa’adatu Balgore — Executive Director, Rural Electrification Fund (REF)
