Top Anambra Lawmaker Dies in South Africa

A top All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) lawmaker and Majority Leader of Anambra Assembly Hon. Nnamdi Okafor is dead.

He is said to have died on Tuesday night in the early hours of Wednesday in a Hotel in Sandton City, South Africa.

Okafor, a second-term legislator, represented Awka-South 1 State Constituency.

Reports from Johannesburg says he slumped and died.
He was in South Africa along with other House of Assembly members for a legislative retreat.

Details of his death are still sketchy as of the time of filing this report.

Okafor, popularly called Akajiugo Awka, is a second-term legislator. He was elected into the House of Assembly in 2015 on the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
