A video has emerged showing the touching moment an Okada rider rolled several times on a dusty road, begging traffic officers to have mercy and not impound his vehicle.

The motorbike rider held their feet as he prostrated, wept and rolled on the floor. At least 3 of them descended on him, ignored his pleas and even hit him as he begged that they spare his means of livelihood.

Sadly, his entreaties fell on deaf ears as the officers continued to assault him before finally taking his motorcycle away.

Social media users lambasted the officers saying they always forget their humanity during encounter with vulnerable members of the public.
