A TV presenter in an unnamed city in South Africa has recounted how he was robbed in plain sight on a live TV show.
According to him, he was just seconds before going on air and was still propping up when some street urchins accosted him and demanded to have his phone.
When he resisted, the miscreants called in their colleague with a gun and the presenter was forced to hand in his phone.
The robbers went over to the other TV crew behind the camera to collect additional 2 phones and a laptop.
Gladly, nobody was hurt, neither was the TV camera taken away.
Public reactions say it is a regular a regular occurrence in many parts of South Africa where robbers and pick pockets hold sway without hindrance or being apprehended by security agents.
There also areas where policemen avoid completely because the miscreants have dominated social life and get agitated once they see uniformed men.
