A spokesperson of the Obi/Datti campaign council, Nana Kazaure has alleged that iit is curious and demoralising for Nigerians to hear that the identity of the Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi has been cloned.
This comes after the politician traveled to the United Kingdom and was allegedly detained and interrogated.
Kazaure alleged that the curious act of the identity cloning sends a horrible message that the private information of Nigerians stored in the Nigeria database is not safe.
She noted that this is a serious security breach which has to be addressed by the National security council. She also argued that Peter Obi’s database can only be assessed by the National Database and that questions have to be raised About how the passport was cloned.
According to her, there is nobody other than the government that has access to every Nigerian’s information. Peter Obi on the other hand has refused to make a further comment after he was released by the UK immigration.
Nana Sani Kazaure told Arise News that, ‘As far as we know, we should be asking the Nigerian government many questions. They are the ones that have the answer to why his International passport could have been cloned. They are the ones that have information on the National Identity cards. They are the ones who have access to our database in the National Database.
“It is disheartening for Nigerians to wake up in the morning and hear that Peter Obi’s identity has been cloned. That is a huge omission of our security, who can breach Nigeria’s security in such a manner? Everything is being thrown at us at any point in time, including the kitchen sink and we are wondering why. And this is just because we have come on board as a force to reckon with.”
