Unknown gunmen are said to have staged an attack on Rumuji Police Station in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, killing at least one policeman.
In another report, two police stations in Emohua Local Government Area of the state were also attacked and two policemen killed.
The gunmen also burnt two patrol vans and destroyed security checkpoints along the East West Road.
Reports say the attack happened around 10:00pm, Friday night.
The State Governor, Nyesom Wike had shut down all land borders and imposed a 10:00pm to 6:00pm curfew to curb attacks on security personnel and state properties.
The gunmen are said to have also stormed and destroyed C41 checkpoint along Choba bridge without killing any officer.
They then proceeded to Ogbakiri junction where they killed a policeman on duty.
The gunmen are said to have carried out the operations unhindered.
The Commissioner of police is said to be visiting the incident scenes for an on-the-spot assessment of the incidents.
