Photos have emerged of the alleged leader of the Bishop’s delegation to the unveiling of the Vice Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Kashim Shettima.

The event which took place at the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Center, Abuja had in attendance, guests from across all works of life.

Among the guests were alleged Christian Leaders said to be bishops who came in curious regalia.

The alleged Bishops were earlier seen at a corner of the car park, being handed the clothing needed to pose as representatives of the leadership of the Christian faith.

Onlookers allegedly recorded them being handed various sums of money before entering the auditorium for the unveiling.

24 hours after the public outrage that greeted the footages, photos of a cleric known by his congregation as a bishop surfaced as one of the ‘respected clerics at the event.’

He is said to be the presiding Bishop Of Peace Chapel Mararaba, Karu Local Government Area Of Nasarawa State who was also reported to be the leader of the Bishop’s Delegation to the unveiling ceremony.

Unfortunately for the organisers, the attendance of the Bishops was soon investigated especially after it attracted various reactions from individuals and groups such as the Catholic Church, the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and Christians across the country.

Reacting to the event on Wednesday, the Vice President of CAN (19 Northern States and Abuja) and its chairman in Kaduna State, Rev. Joseph John Hayab, likened the Bishops to desperados who went there for themselves.

John Hayab further said the presidential candidate of the APC, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, was free to “hire mechanics and other artisans and sew clerical garments for them”, that effort would only add to their many ropes but would not change the need for fairness and justice.
