US Talk Show Host, Larry King Hospitalised with Covid19

Veteran US Newscaster and talk show host, Larry King is reported to have contracted covid19 and has been hospitalised.

CNN cites “source close to the family” as saying that he has been at the Cedars Sinai Medical Centre in Los Angeles.

The 87-year-old has Type 2 diabetes and a long history of medical conditions including heart attacks, lung cancer and angina as well as a condition caused by reduced blood flow to the heart.

The renowned TV host is known for his signature rolled-up shirt sleeves, multi-coloured ties, suspenders and big goggles.

He has hosted countless US Presidents since 1974. Other world leaders that have featured in his show include Yasser Arafat and Vladimir Putin. Others are celebrities like Frank Sinatra, Marlon Brando and Barbra Streisand.

Larry King Live’ aired for 25 years before the veteran retired in 2010 but he continued to host interviews on his own website.

In 2012 however, He began hosting ‘Larry King Now’ on Ora TV an on-demand digital network that he co-founded.

Politicking with Larry King’also began on Ora TV in 2013.
