A victory prayer session has been organized for the President-elect, Bola Tinubu by the Oluwo of Iwoland, Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi.
Among those expected at the event billed for Sunday, March 26, 2023 are the governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Speaker of the federal House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, and Seyi Tinubu.
The victory prayer session is part of celebrations for the emergence of Tinubu at the presidential and national assembly elections.
The Oluwo who disclosed the development in a statement in Osogbo, the Osun State capital, said the main focus of the prayer programme is to appreciate God for destroying the political curse on the Yoruba generation as well as seek divine direction for a successful administration of the President-elect.
The monarch noted that the prayer of every responsible father is to have a successful son, and Tinubu’s victory is “our pride.”
He added that “When your child is promoted, a responsible father will pray for divine wisdom to manage his new office and excel constructively
“Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is the glory of the Yorubas. His victory is our pride. As a responsible father, I’m keenly interested in the success of my son. I’m dedicating a day to thank God for his victory that checkmated the generational curses on the Yorubas.
“It’s still expedient to pray for a successful and prosperous tenure for our pride. The glory of Yorubaland has returned. Let’s rally around and encourage him. On Sunday, 26th March 2023, Yoruba stakeholders are invited to a special prayer session for the president-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“The session has neither political nor religious colouration. All lovers of Yoruba heritage are enjoined to attend the august occasion.”
Dignitaries expected to grace the prayer programme, according to the Oluwo, include Tinubu and his wife, Remi Tinubu and their son, Seyi Tinubu.
Others are Sanwo-Olu, Chief Bisi Akande, and Gbajabiamila, among other Yoruba opinion leaders, stakeholders, the political class and well-wishers.
