Video of 19-Month Old Pupil Flogged to Death by Teacher

The video of the 19-month-old baby, Obinna Udeze flogged to death by his teacher has emerged.

It shows the child battling for his life at the Federal Medical Center (FMC) Asaba before breathing his last.

Having apparently died, the victim’s grandmother made frantic efforts to resuscitate him to no avail.

The heartbroken mother wept for justice calling on everyone to come to her aid to ensure that her son gets justice.

She lamented that she had heard of tragic deaths of children in school but never knew it would come so close.

Wailing bitterly, she regretted that her baby did not even die in the hands of his colleagues as allegedly happened in Dowen College, but that her baby was tied up by the school proprietress and her son in a locked room and dealt 24 strokes of the cane.

The baby’s grandma said that the teachers confirmed that her baby did not steal or damage any school property. They only complained he was stubborn.

Independent Television reports that the school has been sealed up, license withdrawn by government and both the proprietor and her son arrested by the police.
