A video just emerged showing the moment a 7-storey building under construction collapsed in Banana Island, Ikoyi area of Lagos State.
The incident occured this Wednesday at about 3:00pm.
Reports say the building caved in when a few of the construction workers on site had closed for the day.
Others who were still at work were however injured as a result of the collapse while a yet to be ascertained number of others are suspected to still be under the rubbles.
The spokesperson for the Lagos Fire Service and Rescue Service, Amodu Shakiri, confirmed the incident.
He said, “We got a call around 3:58pm. We are currently trying to ascertain the claim that no one was under the rubble.“
