There was a violent robbery attack this afternoon in front of Blenco Supermarket at Ado Road in the Badore axis of Lekki.
A video threading online shows a bullion van riddled with bullets. The tyres of the vehicle were not spared, resulting in it coming to an abrupt halt.
The robbers said to about 5 in number, apparently gunned down someone who appears to be the driver or an accompanying security personnel.
The assailants were able to break into the van and acted away an unspecified large sum of money.
There were no security personnel as at the time of the attack as passers by scampered to safety while the robbers held sway.
Prior to today’s violent robbery, there have been reports of violence around the Badore axis in the last week.
The reports say that most of the attacks were directed at non-indigenes of area who have been given a matching order by hoodlums to leave the city or face forceful eviction.
Other reports say that the violence is between rival cult groups. The development has stirred up fears among residents, some of whom have fled their residents.
