A visually impaired voter allegedly caused commotion at the going Ekiti Governorship election at the Fajuyi House, Polling unit 007.
She was said to have been unable to identify the logo of her preferred party which led to a shouting march among agents of political parties.
The voter reportedly informed the INEC’s ad-hoc staff at the polling unit that she could not see the logo of the party she wanted to vote for.
The choice of who would assist her almost led to a fight among party agents as the INEC officials rejected those that volunteered to assist the woman.
While the matter was being resolved, voting was temporarily put on hold until her son, identified as Yemi later showed up and was allowed to assist her cast her vote.
In another development, the INEC Adhoc officer on duty, at a newly created polling unit, Unit 45, Ward 9, Ado Ekiti, said only four voters were on the list.
He said one voter had cast his vote, while the other three were being expected.
However, at the adjoining polling unit, Polling Unit 44, Ward 9, there were several people on the queue waiting to cast their vote.
