Voting for Peter Obi: Apostle Madubuko Reminds Ekweremadu of New Yam Festival

"Gist"

Apostle Anselm Madubuko, the founder and general overseer of Revival Assembly church, has reacted to the narrative by former Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu that voting for the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi is a waste of vote.

While acknowledging that Peter Obi is a credible candidate and “their son”, Ekweremadu said that the South-East needs to be dynamic and pick the side of a candidate that can win the presidential election.

In his reaction, Apostle Madubuko stated that “it will soon be time for another new yam festival ol boy”, in reference to Ekweremadu being beaten up in Germany after he turned up for a New Yam Festival he was invited for in 2019.

While permutations continue about Peter Obi’s chances at the polls, the former governor and 2023 presidential candidate Peter Obi, met behind closed doors with the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike on Wednesday in Port-Harcourt, Rivers State.

There have been speculations that the Rivers governor is plotting an exit from the Peoples Democratic Party since former Vice President Atiku Abubakar decided to pick the Governor of Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa as his running mate ahead of the 2023 general election.
